Specialized Equipment

Thanks to you, our donors, Father Lacombe Care Foundation is investing in our programs & services, advancing care, and funding the purchase of specialized equipment. Our priority needs are as diverse as the residents we care for. Replacing and purchasing new equipment is always a priority and your support goes a long way in ensuring our health care teams have the tools they need to provide the best quality care.

Items that are ordered annually as funds are available include:

  • Specialized tables to accommodate wheelchairs - $2,200 each
  • Beds that rise up to support good staff back care and go down to accommodate a residents independence and safety - $3,000 each
  • Resident lifts that support the transfer of a resident from their bed to a chair or to the bathroom - $5,000 each
  • Resident Lift slings - $500
  • Overhead lifts equip a resident’s room to provide the transfer of residents between their bed, chair and bathroom - $15,500 per room.

  • Shower Chair
  • Physiotherapy equipment
  • Dressers and night stands
  • Window Coverings
  • Sit stand recliners
  • Soft seating lounge (lobby and sun rooms) furniture
