18th Annual Legacy Dinner

Father Lacombe Care Foundation’s 18th Annual Legacy Dinner, Mardi Gras Gala held on Friday, May 12th, 2017 in the Ballroom at the Glenmore Inn was another successful fundraising event.

Over 300 people attended this year. Guests enjoyed wine and Hors d’oeuvres with a Cajun flare, Bandi Photography did a wonderful job on photographs, the very popular Sucker Pull, Rose Raffle – with the chance to win a return trip for two to any scheduled WestJet destination, Chinese Auction, Silent and Live Auction, along with the St. Mary’s High School Jazz Band and the Edje Dance Theatre and a wonderful dinner topped off with Salted Caramel Cheesecake with Fresh Fruit Salsa, Pecan and Bourbon Sauce for dessert. A King and Queen of Mardi Gras where crowned for best costumes and this year the Don Taylor Volunteer of the Year Award Recipient was Beryl Mundle. Funds raised at this event will go toward the construction of a Healing Garden for residents living with dementia.
