About the Night
Guests followed the yellow brick road to an exciting evening of wizardry and wonder! From Munchkinland Tomato Treats, Kansas Twisters, Flying Monkeys on a Stick and Little Toto`s , we all enjoyed the many appetizers and wonderful meal and dessert put on at Gasoline Alley, Heritage Park. The evening commenced with a Welcome from St. Anne Hemstock, Provincial Superior, Sisters of Providence to Greetings and Grace from Father Wilbert Chin John, Vicar General and Moderator of the Diocese Curia. Guests participated in activities such as the Photo Booth by Bandi from Bandi PhotoGraphy, Sucker Pull, Westjet Rose Raffle, Silent, Live and Chinese Auctions as well as the Best Costume Award.
The Fund a Need this year went to the purchase of a new customized wheelchair accessible bus which will allow our residents to continue enjoying outings to Bragg Creek, Spruce Meadows, the Saskatoon Farm or Granary Farmers` Market along with popular trips to the Legion, shopping and special events.
We celebrated Samantha and her wee daughter Eve Brown as this year`s 2019 Don Taylor Volunteer of the Year recipient.
The evening proved, once again, to be a successful fundraising event. We extend our thanks to all who attended, our sponsors, donors and volunteers . . . you all help us support the needs of our residents, ensuring “there`s no place like home”.
